If you think you took a wrong turn and ended up in a warehouse yard, you’re at the right place. Boomtown Brewing is the most fun thing happening on this extra-industrial block of the Arts District, and somewhere you can fit a lot of people on a weekend afternoon. Between an alleyway and two giant warehouses, there’s plenty of seating. Expect nearly 20 beers on the menu including crisp rice lagers, fruity sours, and a tasty California IPA humorously called the Nose Job. You’ll also usually find some kind of entertainment happening at any given time, from ping pong to pool to the occasional live DJ set.
Though many know Montebello’s shipping container food hall for the food, there’s a handy tasting room tucked away in the back. It’s always a pro move to place an order — especially the fairly new Chicano eatery SolRad — and order Honest Abe’s Mexican lollipop brew with watermelon and spice. The sweeping architectural lines of this historic building help to tell a tale about adaptive reuse in Los Angeles. But the beers do their own talking, winning IPA awards and other accolades.

Many guests even start their night on the first floor for dinner, and then head upstairs for some casual drinks or to listen to some live music. We offer an atmosphere and a vibe that is quite different than any restaurant in the region. On the first floor, our main dining room and bar offer a more upscale casual vibe, making it the perfect destination for a date night, a night out with friends, and family, or that special occasion or celebration. You can dine indoors by a fireplace or outdoors by any number of fire pits, or just enjoy drinks at the bar or on our outdoor patio. Our menu includes everything from pizza, wings, burgers, and salads, to some higher-end, made-from-scratch entrees that you would expect to see at an upscale. The Los Angeles craft beer scene is an absolute behemoth, supporting dozens of award-winning brewers across different cities and setups.
The atmosphere was modern and welcoming, staff in the bar area was attentive and made excellent recommendations on food and drink... This cult-favorite craft brewer has been cultivating long lines and deep fandom for years, and since the pandemic began has turned its Torrance brewery space into a semi-shaded, cozy outdoor hangout. Service was outstanding and our waitress always attentive. The first thing you'll notice when arriving is how beautiful the architecture is. We got the pork nachos to start and couldn't believe our eyes when they arrived... Progress Brewing is a big deal for El Monte, the bedroom community east of Downtown Los Angeles. Crisp classics and unique newcomers (try the Sandia Loca, a blonde ale with watermelon and chamoy) play nicely here.

Homage Brewing is for people who love good beer but also want to dance. There’s a pleasant patio out front where you might spot a couple of toddlers with their tattooed parents. But the real scene is inside the garage, which has a long bar, a disco ball, and (on weekends) a DJ spinning vinyl. Most people come here to sip housemade IPAs and snack on masa-battered chicken wings during the day, but on Friday and Saturday nights, the dance floor is packed until 1am. Head there the next time you’re looking for a place to drink dry-hopped saisons and meet someone with a color-coordinated tote bag.
This is an intimate spot on the northeast edge of Chinatown where bartenders draw the tap for hoppy and malty lagers or ales, saisons, and a small but excellent wine list. The kitchen serves small bites too at both this location and in Pomona. We stopped for lunch on a Wednesday , Sue was our fabulous server/bartender! She was very personable and made our dining experience exceptional!
